The publication called MAP and subtitled Mindspace, Architecture and Place in the Work of Michal Škoda comes out on the occasion of the artist’s exhibition The Silence of Places at Kvalitář. The concept of the book was inspired by Škoda’s artist books from the Diary cycle, out of which pages were selected, newly assembled and complemented by reproductions of drawings, some of which are presented at the exhibition. Subsequently thematic circuits M-A-P were created out of the material mentioned, accompanied by texts of art historian Monika Čejková, philosopher Miroslav Petříček and architect Norbert Schmidt, who loosely touch upon the role of place, architecture and space in Škoda’s work.
